Soft Circuit LED Bracelet

Published on Instructables

Have a little fun with conductive thread and ‘sewing’ circuits and make a cool battery-powered LED cuff to wear out and about. It is only powered while you are wearing it because the fastener acts as a switch. No soldering/wiring required!

Lady GaGa ‘Video Glasses’

Published on Instructables and Make: Projects

I made these quick and easy glasses for my Lady GaGa Halloween costume. They use 2 digital picture frame keychains on a slideshow setting to replicate the effect seen in her performances.

Lightwings: Fiber Optic Fairy Wings

Published on Instructables

This method for light up wings uses a simple circuit of LEDs and a battery to achieve a look a similar to EL wire, but thinner and almost invisible when not lit up.

Programmable Light Up Wings

Published on Instructables

Create light patterns on your fairy wings using a microcontroller called Schemer. This is a simple example with 10 Lightboards; the Schemer can power up to 20.

‘Talking’ Sock Puppet

Published on Instructables and Make: Projects

This sock puppet makes sound when you open its mouth. It is a quick project for a rainy day and is a great way to use up old musical cards instead of throwing them out.

Musical Drawdio Puppet

Published on Craftzine and Make: Projects

This octopus/jellyfish-inspired puppet lets you make different squeaky sounds using an embedded Drawdio. Hold the puppet by putting one hand in the loop on its belly. Use the other hand to touch conductive spots on its legs, which complete the Drawdio’s circuit to make sounds.

LED Jellies

Published on Instructables and Make: Projects

Who doesn’t love LED throwies? And who can resist adorable sea creatures?

Here’s how to make a jellyfish shaped casing for LED Throwies that you can stick to any metal surface. The Throwies are easily removable so you can ‘refill’ the Jelly and use it over and over.

Christmas Tree LED Embroidery

Published on Instructables

Inspired by Becky Stern’s Electronic Embroidery Tutorial, this pattern uses LEDs as the string of lights on a felt Christmas tree applique.

I’ve included a tree pattern that fits 8″ or 6″ embroidery hoops, or you can make your own shape.
